Can I park free of charge in Egmond aan Zee?

Paid parking applies in Egmond aan Zee:

  • 1 March to 1 November, from 10 am to 7 pm.
  • 1 November to 1 March, on Saturdays and Sundays from 10. a.m. to 7 p.m. Free parking applies on all other days.

Some accommodation at Hotel in Egmond has its own parking facilities. Other accomodations have a digital parking permit avaiable for a fee. Here you can read what applies to your preferred hotel or appartment. 

  

New Parking Meters
The municipality has begun replacing parking meters, with work in Egmond aan Zee expected to continue until mid-April. The new parking machines introduce several changes:

  • Payments are now exclusively digital, accepted via bank card or phone. Coin payments are no longer available.
  • Tickets will no longer be printed; instead, a digital ticket can be issued, and control is based on the license plate number you enter.

You can still use a parking app as an alternative to the parking meters.

  

Please note that parking regulations, permits, and permit zones will remain unchanged despite the replacement of parking meters.

Can I park my car at LIDO Apartments parkeren?

Yes, we have our own parking lot. We offer you one parking space per apartment. On the day of departure, you must leave the car park before 12 p.m.
Charging electric cars is not possible in our parking lot. There are several charging points outside our site.

Does LIDO Apartments have bicycle storage?

LIDO has an unguarded bicycle storage below the emergency staircase on the right-hand side of the building. Do you prefer to store your bicycle in a closed garage? Then you can use the bicycle storage of our partner Hotel Zuiderduin, a 5-minute walk away.

Have you booked a apartment at Lido Apartments? Then you can change or cancel your reservation free of charge up to 4 weeks before arrival.

How many apartments does LIDO Apartments have?

LIDO consists of 14 luxury apartments spread over two floors. All apartments have a balcony on the seaside. Most apartments are accessible by lift. Only the 4-person apartments type A on the south side are only accessible via stairs.
There are two variants of the 2- and 3-person apartments 4-person type B apartments. In one variant, the sleeping and seating areas are at the same height as each other. In the other variant, the sitting area is lower than the sleeping area, and you have stairs in the apartment.

FAQ - Your stay at LIDO

What are the check-in and check-out times at LIDO Apartments?

Your apartment will be ready from 3 p.m. on your arrival day. You can check-in at the reception of Hotel de Boei, across the street from LIDO. Is the reception of Hotel de Boei closed? Then you can check-in at Hotel Zuiderduin, Zeeweg 52 in Egmond aan Zee.
On the day of departure, you must be checked out by 10:30 a.m. Before checking out, we also ask you to go to the reception of Hotel de Boei and if De Boei is closed, to the reception of Hotel Zuiderduin.

I have mobility problems. Is LIDO Apartments suitable for me?

LIDO has a few narrow corridors where it is difficult to maneuver with a walker and wheelchair. The apartments have high thresholds, and no adjustments have been made in the bathrooms for guests with walking difficulties.
In some of the 2- and 3-person apartments, the sitting and sleeping area, are separated by stairs.

  
At our partner Hotel Zuiderduin and Apartments De Egmonden you will find accessible rooms/apartments with the necessary adjustments for a carefree stay.

Can I bring my dig to LIDO Apartments?

Dogs ( as well as other pets) are not allowed at LIDO Apartments.

  
However, dogs are welcome at our partners Hotel Zuiderduin, Hotel de Boei, Strandhotel Golfzang, Appartementen De Egmonden and Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin*.
Important: to avoid disappointment, please check conditions and availability with the hotel/apartment in advance.

Are the LIDO apartments provided with bedding?

Upon arrival at your apartment, the beds are made and towels are provided. Clean linens and towels are provided once a week.

Will the apartment of LIDO be cleaned?

Your apartment will be cleaned once a week. You will also receive clean towels and clean linen. In addition, you will also receive a new kitchen package, including a dishcloth, dish soap, and a dishwashing brush.

You can deposit your waste in the container at Hotel de Boei, across the street from LIDO. You can find this container in the alley to the left of Hotel de Boei.

Does LIDO Apartments have a restaurant?

Restaurant Van Speijk is located under LIDO. This restaurant is not affiliated with LIDO, but during your stay, it's a great place to enjoy a drink, lunch, or dinner.

Is there a lift at Lido Apartments?

LIDO has a lift. However, the 4-person apartment type A cannot be reached by lift. The lift will take you to the correct floor, but you still have to climb six steps to get to your apartment entrance. This can be a challenging staircase for guests with walking difficulties.

Is it allowed to smoke in the apartment?

No, our entire apartment complex is non-smoking area. This means that smoking is not allowed in the apartments and facilities of the complex.
